Job Summary
Collaborates with the trauma program manager and trauma medical director to assist with coordination and execution with the performance improvement plan and peer review activities of the trauma program. Provides education and serves as a resource for ancillary and support departments to assist with identification and resolution of quality and/or patient safety issues as well as regulatory compliance. Actively participate in regulatory survey preparation and assist with action plan development, implementation and monitoring, as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
College level: Bachelors Degree in Nursing. Prefer a MSN
Required Licenses/ Certifications:
- Valid Texas registered nursing (RN) license
- BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and TNCC or ATCN within the first 6 months of hire. Remain current throughout job tenure.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- 3 years in clinical setting
- Working knowledge of a wide variety of clinical topics, ability to review patient care records; communicate clearly and concisely with physicians and professional staff, able to prioritize tasks, and the ability to analyze statistical information. Computer literate with Microsoft Office knowledge.
