Job Summary
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the general supervision of the Administrative Laboratory Director, obtains patient specimens, performs laboratory tests on blood, urine, body fluids, feces, and reports test results according to prescribed laboratory policies and procedures. Responsible for the supervision and operation of the laboratory if so requested by the laboratory manager and performs any other task necessary to maintain the proper functioning of the department and the hospital.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Associate Degree as a Medical Laboratory Technician in Laboratory Science.
Minimum Experience:
Two years’ experience in high complexity testing is preferred
Preferred Certification:
Medical Lab Technician (American Society of Clinical Pathology) or equivalent.
Preferred Licensure: Medical Lab Technician (American Society of Clinical Pathology) or
equivalent.
