Job Summary
The Manager of Quality Improvement assists the DCQI in the operations of the hospital's Quality / Performance improvement program. Supports quality and process improvement efforts identified in the hospital. Responsible for data tracking/collection and trending. Coordinates, assists and advises on a variety of meetings, seminars, services and/or programs related to the overall Quality / Performance Improvement program. Coordinates hospital wide performance improvement activities under the direction of the DCQI.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating integration and management of the Quality / Performance Improvement Program with the guidance of the DCQI to meet regulatory requirements including Joint Commission and state statutes, to identify performance improvement opportunities so as to enhance the organization's outcomes.
- Carries out assignments as delegated by the DCQI, coordinates reports, correspondence and information as needed.
- Collaborates with the department directors to compile and generate reports for the purpose of analysis and interpretation for the Quality / Performance Improvement department / Committee.
- Lead infection prevention and quality improvement initiatives by monitoring compliance with regulatory standards, analyzing infection-related data, implementing corrective action plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to promote patient safety and reduce healthcare-associated infections.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Registered Professional Nurse (RN) with Bachelor’s degree or higher in a patient care related field.
- Experience: 3 years experience in QA/PI
- Certifications: Must be currently licensed, certified or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy.
- Certifications: CPHQ or other certification in Healthcare Quality
- CIC
