The Video Content Creator is responsible for ideating, shooting, and editing video content for the Paley Institute’s social media channels, website, and marketing campaigns. This role works closely with physicians, patients, staff, and the marketing team to turn medical storytelling into clear, engaging content, including patient testimonials, procedure explainers, and provider spotlights. The role will help drive brand awareness through the production of high-quality video, photography, editing and visual content.
Responsibilities
Content Creation & Brand Management
- Create and develop photo and video content that supports the organization's brand and marketing objectives across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
- Collaborate with physicians, clinicians, staff, leadership, and marketing teams to identify and develop content opportunities.
- Ensure all photo and video content is appropriate for a medical setting and aligned with patient privacy standards, consent requirements, and brand guidelines.
- Ideate content based on monthly social media briefs. Create a monthly social media content calendar and deliver videos through our feedback system on deadline.
Digital Presence & Platform Support
- Supply photo and video assets for use on digital platforms and websites.
- Capture physician education, staff culture, patient-friendly content, events, community outreach activities, headshots, and behind-the-scenes content.
- Translate complex healthcare and medical topics into engaging, easy-to-understand visual content.
- Maintain content libraries and organize video, photography, and graphic assets for future use.
- Stay current on social media trends, content formats, photography techniques, platform updates, emerging technologies, digital trends, and best practices. Ensure all content complies with patient privacy, consent requirements, brand guidelines, and healthcare communication standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
- Minimum three years of experience in a creative, digital content, marketing, video production, content creation, or related role.
- Proficiency with content creation and design tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, Lightroom, Canva, or similar platforms.
- Strong photography and videography skills, including composition, framing, lighting, visual storytelling, and operation of professional cameras, smartphones, microphones, lighting, and production equipment.
- Strong understanding of short-form video strategy, digital content development, and social media performance.
- Ability to create compelling visual content through graphic design, visual communication, photography, and video production.
- Ability to work effectively with physicians, patients, clinical staff, and within healthcare environments.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Professional, self-motivated, reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience creating content for a healthcare organization, physician practice, hospital, wellness brand, or other medical setting strongly preferred.
- Understanding of HIPAA, patient privacy, and consent requirements preferred.
- Ability to commute between different offices within a 50-mile radius. Selected candidate will be required to pass a Motor Vehicle Records check.
